g is a web search engine like Google or Yahoo. However it is a vertical search engine - it specialises in a particular area and in our case, that's property.
What For? To help our visitors find information! Imagine if you could go to just one place to find all the real estate available in your area.
That would certainly take a lot of the effort out of buying or renting your new dream house, flat, farm, ... ?
How Does It Work? Every night our web robots scan an ever-expanding list of estate agent sites and index the results in our database.
When you do a g search, you are effectively searching through every property listed on every site we scan.
If you want to get more info on a property you like, you can click through to the full listing on the estate agent's website.
So what's all the fuss about?
g was launched to the public at the end of 2005 and is the only property search engine in South Africa (2nd in the world as far as we can tell).
We are the biggest property site in South Africa (over 90 00 listings) and we'll keep growing as more and more estate agents ask us to index their sites.
Most importantly though, g was designed from the ground-up to be super user-friendly and fast - don't upgrade to a 28k modem on our account!
